Set against the spectacular backdrop of the Twelve Bens in the heart of Connemara, the Connemara Pony Show is the world’s premier celebration of Ireland’s only native pony breed.

For generations, Clifden has welcomed breeders, competitors, owners and visitors from across Ireland and around the globe to honour the remarkable qualities, heritage and enduring appeal of the Connemara Pony.

Over four days, visitors enjoy prestigious in-hand, ridden, loose jumping and working hunter competitions, alongside domestic arts, cultural events and community festivities.

More than a horse show, it is a celebration of Connemara’s heritage, rural traditions and international reputation, bringing together generations of people who share a passion for this remarkable breed.
