Ó Tuairisg President, Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society, The Showgrounds, Clifden, Co. Galway H71 YA09 22nd August 2024 Dear Mr Ó Tuairisg, I write to you on behalf of the Connemara Chamber committee and its members. The Chamber is very disappointed regarding the recent issues of the Connemara Pony Show from the initial on, off, on again uncertainty and confusion earlier in the year to the developments over recent days. Press Release – Survey 2024 – Connemara Housing, Planning and Roads
Press release Tuesday April 16th 2024 Launch of the Connemara Chamber Survey 2024: Connemara Housing, Planning and Roads The Connemara Chamber is conducting a 1-minute survey with over 300 of its members and community members focusing on the perceived housing, planning and transport issues across the region. Recipients are being asked to express their views and identify challenges and concerns regarding the aging and declining permanent population, as well as accessibility to the region via roads. The business group will be following up by hosting a live phone-in discussion on the findings of the survey with the press in May. The Chair of the Connemara Chamber John Sweeney said: ‘Connemara is very good at looking after visitors. It’s our economy. However our permanent population is in decline which is very worrying. Our young people need somewhere to live. We are conducting this survey to identify the concerns of the community regarding the future of Connemara.’ Survey Link Express Your Views – Take a 1 minute to give your views via a quick survey conducted by: Connemara Chamber https://forms.gle/pRiouBjdwgf63q61A For further information please contact: Conall Joyce | Chamber Administrator | [email protected]
