Information on Plean Gaeilge don Chlochán / Irish Language Plan for Clifden
A Chara Clifden has been given official state recognition as a Gaeltacht Service Town and an effective language plan will now be developed to promote Irish throughout the whole community. You and/or your organisation can have your voices heard and be part of this exciting plan by taking a few minutes to answer the attached questionnaire. This survey will provide us with accurate information on how Irish is currently used in our community and how we can expand and develop it in the future. In order to contact as many people as possible, and if you are your organisations contact, could you forward to your data base and ask that they complete and return the survey also. Your participation in shaping this plan would be greatly appreciated. Online Survey for a Remote Working Hub in Clifden
A chara Connemara Chamber of Commerce is inviting people’s opinions on the idea of developing a remote working hub in Clifden/An Clochán. The hub would be used by remote workers, business start-ups, people on holiday and the wider community. It would provide office and co-working space, hot desks, meeting rooms, collaborative spaces, fast broadband and communications technologies. We are contacting you to ask if you would consider sharing the survey link with your database or with relevant contacts. Please also complete it yourself. Community Survey – Regenerating the Capital of Connemara

Community Survey >> https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ClifdenCommunitySurvey —————————————————————————————– Clifden – Regenerating the Capital of Connemara Working alongside Galway County Council, a design team, consisting primarily of LUC, Tobin Consulting Engineers and MKO Planning & Environmental Consultants, have recently begun work on a project which will be transformational for the town of Clifden. The project will seek to reinforce Clifden’s position as the ‘Capital of Connemara’ through the regeneration of its public realm and greenspaces. The project has been funded by Galway County Council and the Government of Ireland Rural Regeneration and Development Fund (RRDF), to address 3 specific locations within the town: Town Centre Public Realm The Harbour Park The Beach Road Quay Area These are 3 distinct projects, but very much interlinked, as together they will provide a rejuvenated town centre for everyone to enjoy.
