Proposed Updates to the Constitution of Clifden Chamber of Commerce CLG

Re: Proposed updates to the MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION & ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION of the Clifden Chamber of Commerce CLG

Please find attached a document outlining a number of proposed updates to the Memorandum and Articles of Association of Clifden Chamber of Commerce CLG.

The proposed amendments relate to matters including the Company’s name, objects, governance arrangements, board structure, quorum requirements, Irish-language name, winding-up provisions and other constitutional updates. The Directors believe these changes reflect the evolution of the Chamber over the past 30 years and will provide a stronger constitutional framework for its future activities.

Members will have an opportunity to consider and vote on the proposed resolutions at the upcoming AGM meeting scheduled for:

We encourage all members to review the attached document in advance of the meeting. These proposed amendments require approval by Special Resolution of the members.

You may appoint a Proxy for these resolutions by completing the attached Proxy form and returning it 24 hours before the AGM.
