Special event in Connemara to honour Dr. Brendan Flynn
Later this month, a community centred event in Clifden, Connemara will honour Dr. Brendan Flynn. This special event wishes to both acknowledge and celebrate the enormous contribution that Brendan has made to the educational, cultural and economic life of Connemara.
The event, being organised on behalf of the people of Connemara will be hosted by Connemara Chamber of Commerce. The afternoon event will pay a heartfelt community tribute to the man who has driven the Clifden Arts Festival (the longest running community arts festival in the country) into it’s 47th year.
Doors and a reception from 1.40pm at the Station House Theatre in Clifden, Co. Galway. The tribute event is expected to last approximately two hours with light refreshments afterwards in the Clifden Station House Hotel.
